The 2024 Olympic silver medalist in doubles and world No. 7, Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva, has lost for the fifth consecutive time to two-time Grand Slam champion and world No. 4 Coco Gauff of the United States.
The defeat came in the quarterfinals of the WTA-1000 clay-court tournament in Rome, Italy. Andreeva (8th seed) fell to Gauff (3rd seed) with a score of 6:4, 2:6, 4:6. The head-to-head record now stands at 5-0 in favor of the American.
